LORD JHULELAL
The news of the miraculous JHULELAL soon reached Mrikh Shah, who decided to arrest him, water started flowing in the court, all those present found themselves inundated in water. Simultaneously fire also broke out and the palace became a towering inferno no way to escape, however he was unsuccessful in his attempt.
Soon Mrikh Shah realised his mistake and he pleaded to JHULELAL,please save my Courtier's and me,and agreed to treat Hindu's and Muslim's equally, hence all the Sindhi Hindu's were saved from the wicked Mrikh Shah.
LORD JHULELAL preached a message of peace. He is believed to have said,"He whom you call Allah and my people call KRISHNA,are but one and same.
The God of the Sindhu worshipped as Lord JHULELAL and Uderolal,by the Hindu's is also revered as Zinda Pir,by the local Muslim's.
LORD JHULELAL continues to be the unifying force this is not difficult to fathom, after all how can a river God be anything but universal, especially one that personifies the great Indus or Sindhu, from whom a community-Sindhi,a province "Sindh" a religion "Hindu"and a country-India all get their name!
Hence, LORD JHULELAL is known as God of Indus, Sindhi's all over the world greet each other with by saying "Jeko Chavando JHULELAL tehinja theenda Beda Paar".
The Celebration of Cheti-Chand starts from the early morning, people get dressed in new clothes, start their day by visiting near by temples offering their prayers to LORD JHULELAL and getting the blessings of the elder's of the Family.
